The PERCH Bird Feeder by Stalen Design is a modern wall-mounted feeder, also known as a feeding station, feeding table, or wall-mounted birdhouse. Thanks to its smart design, this compact bird feeder provides a stylish feeding spot for a wall, fence, or facade. The irregular pentagonal shape gives it a unique look that both stands out and blends into any outdoor space.

Made from 1 mm thick Corten steel, the PERCH bird feeder develops a characteristic rust patina over time. This protective layer makes the house weather-resistant and maintenance-free. Its warm, natural appearance fits perfectly into a modern or natural garden environment.

The wall-mounted model is easy to install using the included stainless steel screws and plugs. Ideal for a garden, balcony, or exterior wall. With its compact size (230 x 234 x 150 mm), this designer feeding dish is suitable for various outdoor locations.

About Corten steel

Corten steel is a high-quality metal alloy consisting of iron enriched with copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium. It is known for its distinctive rust-brown color and natural industrial aesthetic.

What makes Corten steel unique is the dense oxide film (rust layer) that forms on the surface. This layer protects the underlying material from oxygen, which significantly slows down the rusting process and allows the metal to last for years — without rusting through.

Important to know

Corten steel is supplied as standard in its original, grey metallic state (unrusted).
Minor imperfections in the corten steel (such as scratches/steel production codes) will become invisible during the rusting process.
Within approximately 1 to 2 months, a rust-coloured patina layer will form — completely natural, without any additional treatment.
During the rusting process, the material may stain surfaces or surrounding elements.
Corten steel is suitable for outdoor use in all weather conditions and does not require a coating.

Maintenance tips

Let the rusting process take its course. Do not use any chemical agents or oils.
Prevent moisture stains during storage: unpack the material immediately upon receipt.
Avoid standing water on horizontal surfaces to limit staining.
Clean only with water and a soft brush if desired — do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
When mounting on sensitive surfaces: consider a spacer or edge finish to prevent rust runoff.
