Garden Shape FLOWER FIELD by Stalen Design is a decorative garden shape and steel wall decoration for outdoors, also known as a garden ornament, wall flower, garden decoration, corten steel flower, metal garden element, and wall decor for the garden. This bundle consists of 2x Garden Shape BLOOMING and contains a total of 12 flowers for the wall.

The flowers are made of 1 mm thick Corten steel. Outdoors, this material develops a natural rust patina that protects the steel against weather influences. The warm layer of rust gives every flower a unique appearance and provides a durable, weather-resistant design accent in the garden.

You can easily attach the Garden Shape FLOWER FIELD to a facade, fence, garden wall, or canopy using stainless steel nails. By freely arranging the individual flowers, you can create a playful flower field on the wall yourself. Designed and produced in the Netherlands – pure Dutch Design.

CORTEN STEEL

About Corten steel

Corten steel is a high-quality metal alloy consisting of iron enriched with copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium. It is known for its distinctive rust-brown color and natural industrial aesthetic.

What makes Corten steel unique is the dense oxide film (rust layer) that forms on the surface. This layer protects the underlying material from oxygen, which significantly slows down the rusting process and allows the metal to last for years — without rusting through.

Important to know

Corten steel is supplied as standard in its original, grey metallic state (unrusted).
Minor imperfections in the corten steel (such as scratches/steel production codes) will become invisible during the rusting process.
Within approximately 1 to 2 months, a rust-coloured patina layer will form — completely natural, without any additional treatment.
During the rusting process, the material may stain surfaces or surrounding elements.
Corten steel is suitable for outdoor use in all weather conditions and does not require a coating.

Maintenance tips

Let the rusting process take its course. Do not use any chemical agents or oils.
Prevent moisture stains during storage: unpack the material immediately upon receipt.
Avoid standing water on horizontal surfaces to limit staining.
Clean only with water and a soft brush if desired — do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
When mounting on sensitive surfaces: consider a spacer or edge finish to prevent rust runoff.
