MURO flower pot by Stalen Design is a wall-mounted flower pot for outdoor use, also known as a plant pot, wall planter, outdoor pot, plant holder, wall pot, and decorative garden pot. This design element combines corten steel with a terracotta flower pot, giving your facade, fence, balcony, or garden wall a warm, natural look.

The product is made of 1.5 mm Corten steel. This steel develops a protective rust patina outdoors, is weather-resistant, and complements the terracotta pot beautifully. The flower pot has a drainage hole and is suitable for planting. The terracotta pot is included; plants are not included.

The MURO flower pot comes with stainless steel screws and plugs for easy wall mounting. This allows you to securely attach the wall pot to a facade, wall, fence, or canopy. Designed and produced in the Netherlands – pure Dutch Design.

About Corten steel

Corten steel is a high-quality metal alloy consisting of iron enriched with copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium. It is known for its distinctive rust-brown color and natural industrial aesthetic.

What makes Corten steel unique is the dense oxide film (rust layer) that forms on the surface. This layer protects the underlying material from oxygen, which significantly slows down the rusting process and allows the metal to last for years — without rusting through.

Important to know

Corten steel is supplied as standard in its original, grey metallic state (unrusted).
Minor imperfections in the corten steel (such as scratches/steel production codes) will become invisible during the rusting process.
Within approximately 1 to 2 months, a rust-coloured patina layer will form — completely natural, without any additional treatment.
During the rusting process, the material may stain surfaces or surrounding elements.
Corten steel is suitable for outdoor use in all weather conditions and does not require a coating.

Maintenance tips

Let the rusting process take its course. Do not use any chemical agents or oils.
Prevent moisture stains during storage: unpack the material immediately upon receipt.
Avoid standing water on horizontal surfaces to limit staining.
Clean only with water and a soft brush if desired — do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
When mounting on sensitive surfaces: consider a spacer or edge finish to prevent rust runoff.
