The HOUTBLOK bee hotel by Stalen Design is an oak bee hotel and individual nesting aid for wild bees, also known as an insect hotel, bee house, bee box, bee block, insect house, and bee nest. The wooden block contains pre-drilled holes that solitary bees can use as a sheltered nesting site.

The bee hotel is made of oak and forms a natural addition to the Corten steel bee hotels from Stalen Design. The bee holes have various diameters of 10, 8, and 6 mm, ensuring that different species of wild bees can find a suitable opening. The combination of oak and Corten steel provides a durable, natural look in the garden.

Would you like to hang the HOUTBLOK bee hotel on one of our Corten steel bee hotels? If so, please drill pilot holes yourself for a sturdy attachment. No mounting materials are included with this product. Designed and produced in the Netherlands – pure Dutch Design.

About oaks

Oak is a widely used type of wood with a natural, robust appearance. The wood is known for its warm color, characteristic grain structure, and high durability.

Oak is naturally strong and wear-resistant, making it excellent for outdoor use. Thanks to its natural resistance to weather conditions and wood rot, oak is a sustainable choice for garden structures and outdoor accessories.

Due to weather conditions, the wood may expand, shrink, or show slight cracking.
Natural discoloration and graying may occur over time.

Maintenance tips
