This natural design form is entirely designed and produced in the Netherlands, and combines functionality with an organic look that fits perfectly in both modern and natural gardens.

Each CANYON stepping stone is made of high-quality Corten steel with a material thickness of 3 mm. Over time, this steel develops a warm, rust-colored patina that protects against the elements. The robust material ensures a long lifespan and requires minimal maintenance. Order several for a complete and dynamic garden path.

About Corten steel

Corten steel is a high-quality metal alloy consisting of iron enriched with copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium. It is known for its distinctive rust-brown color and natural industrial aesthetic.

What makes Corten steel unique is the dense oxide film (rust layer) that forms on the surface. This layer protects the underlying material from oxygen, which significantly slows down the rusting process and allows the metal to last for years — without rusting through.

Important to know

Corten steel is supplied as standard in its original, grey metallic state (unrusted).
Minor imperfections in the corten steel (such as scratches/steel production codes) will become invisible during the rusting process.
Within approximately 1 to 2 months, a rust-coloured patina layer will form — completely natural, without any additional treatment.
During the rusting process, the material may stain surfaces or surrounding elements.
Corten steel is suitable for outdoor use in all weather conditions and does not require a coating.

Maintenance tips

Let the rusting process take its course. Do not use any chemical agents or oils.
Prevent moisture stains during storage: unpack the material immediately upon receipt.
Avoid standing water on horizontal surfaces to limit staining.
Clean only with water and a soft brush if desired — do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
When mounting on sensitive surfaces: consider a spacer or edge finish to prevent rust runoff.
