A garden is not just a place for you to enjoy. Insects such as solitary bees also look for suitable places to shelter and nest. With BEEPOST bee hotel, we are therefore adding a new product to our collection: a contemporary bee hotel where oak and Corten steel come together.
But BEEPOST is more than just an insect hotel. In the design, we consciously looked for a system that fits within multiple Stalen Design products.
A bee hotel that fits within a modular system
At Stalen Design, we strive to build more and more products from modular parts. Why use a completely new pole or mounting for every product if parts can also be combined?

This allows you to use the same pole for different products from our collection. For example, a bird feeder can be placed on a pole first, and you can replace it later with BEEPOST bee hotel.
This makes the system flexible and ensures that you can easily adapt your garden.
Do you already have a suitable pole yourself? That is also possible. BEEPOST can be ordered without a pole and mounted on your own pole.
Oak combined with Corten steel
The central part of BEEPOST consists of a solid oak bee block. Surrounding it is the Corten steel design that gives the bee hotel its recognizable Stalen Design look.
Nesting tunnels with different diameters of 6, 8, and 10 millimeters have been made in the oak. This provides different openings for solitary bees to use.
The combination of natural oak and Corten steel creates a garden element that is both robust and modern.
Like our other products, BEEPOST bee hotel is designed and made in the Netherlands.
Why place a bee hotel in the garden?
Many people know the honey bee, but many species of solitary bees also live in the Netherlands. These bees do not live in large bee colonies, but individually seek a suitable place to build their nest.
A bee hotel, insect hotel, or bee house can provide extra nesting opportunities when suitable natural cavities are limited in the area.
Do you want to make your garden more attractive to bees? Then it is not just nesting opportunities that help. A sufficient number of flowering plants in the area is also important. By having flowers available during different periods of the year, you increase the food supply for insects.
In this way, you combine a beautiful element in the garden with attention to biodiversity.
Where can you place BEEPOST?
It is best to place a bee hotel in a quiet spot where it will not be moved constantly.
Thanks to the various mounting options, you can determine yourself how BEEPOST becomes part of your garden.
For example, choose the CORTEN pole if you want to extend the look of the Corten steel. The WOOD pole creates a combination of natural materials instead. Do you want to place the bee hotel against a wall or another suitable vertical surface? Then BEEPOST can be combined with the WALLY pole.
This way, you can use the same design in different places around your house and garden.
From bird feeder to bee hotel
The modular structure is a direction we want to expand further within Stalen Design.
The starting point is simple: a part like a pole does not have to be fixed to one specific product.
Do you have a bird feeder on a pole and want to change it later? Then we want to make it possible to replace only the top product. The pole can simply remain in place.
BEEPOST fits in directly with that principle.
This creates, step by step, a collection in which different products can be combined with each other.

BEEPOST bee hotel is now available for pre-order.
The first units are expected to be available from the beginning of October. For the first production run, we have chosen a limited edition.
Do you want to be sure of a BEEPOST from this first series? Then you can already pre-order the bee hotel, possibly together with a CORTEN pole, WOOD pole, or WALLY pole.
Do you already have a suitable pole yourself? Then you can of course also order BEEPOST without a pole.
